Unexpected choices?............Well maybe not as they certainly pulled it off, that's Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as Groot

Bradley Cooper is no stranger to the industry from his start in a 1999 episode of 'Sex in the City' he has appeared in 3 x stage productions, 14 x TV shows and 44 x movies including Guardians of the Galaxy and his current projects. He does possess a great vocal ability as demonstrated on various chat shows with his impersonations of Jim Carey, Kevin Spacey etc.
The Voice of Groot......
....Vin Diesel
This isn't the first time that Vin Diesel has done a voice over as he appeared in the animated film 'The Iron Giant' as the voice of the giant. Although in The Guardians of the Galaxy his voice over is limited to just one sentence........."I am Groot" although he had to provide many variations of this sentence such as spoken softly or more aggressive with varied time gaps between the three words as this is the way that Groot communicates. Diesel was also involved in the motion CGI work.
